Willowbrook Road
Natural Gas Project
Boulder, CO
December 2024 – Summer 2025
Overview
We replaced approximately 3,900 feet of natural gas line and replaced customer service lines along Christmas Tree Drive, Circle Drive, Park Lane and Willowbrook Road and along portions of Aurora Avenue, Cascade Avenue and 6th Street in Boulder, Colorado. This work allows us to continue to provide safe, reliable natural gas service and enhances system resiliency during extreme weather.
Construction update
Friday, November 14, 2025
Crews have completed construction and restoration of the Willowbrook Road Natural Gas Project.
It was our pleasure to work in your community, and we thank you for your patience and cooperation while we completed this essential natural gas project.
How it affects you
We may have worked in yards and other areas of customer properties to replace the natural gas service line serving the property. We contacted customers to arrange a date and time to complete this work.
During construction, you may have noticed:
- Marking of utility lines and utility survey holes.
- Road and sidewalk closures.
- Parking restrictions.
- Traffic control.
- Temporary changes to access.
- Construction noise.
We installed the natural gas line by open trenching and boring.
- Open trenching involves digging a trench and placing the natural gas line in the trench.
- Boring uses a specialized machine to create an underground pathway through which the natural gas line is pulled or drilled.
We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment in your community. For your safety and the safety of our crews, remember these tips:
- Watch for construction crews and equipment.
- Do not enter construction areas.
- Obey signage and directions from crews.
- Reduce speeds while traveling.
- Observe parking restrictions.
- Remain flexible as work progresses and work areas change.
We restored work areas to preconstruction conditions as weather allows. Work areas may be left temporarily restored after construction until we can complete final restoration.
Schedule
Construction began in December 2024 and concluded in November 2025.
Construction occurred Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In certain circumstances, we may have been required to work evenings or weekends.
