J Road Natural
Gas Project
Overview
Crews have completed construction on the J Road Natural Gas Project. Restoration of roads and properties may continue as required. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we completed this important project. It was our pleasure to work in your community.
We replaced, relocated, and installed new natural gas lines, and replaced natural gas service lines serving individual properties, throughout 2024 for the J Road Natural Gas Project.
The project included replacing approximately six miles of natural gas line and replacing natural gas service lines serving adjacent properties.
This work allows us to continue to provide safe, reliable natural gas service, and enhances system resiliency during extreme weather.
Schedule
Construction began in October 2023 and was completed in August 2024.
How it affects you
We installed natural gas line by open trenching and boring. Open trenching involves digging a trench and placing the natural gas line in the trench. Boring uses a specialized machine to create an underground pathway through which the natural gas line is pulled or drilled.
We worked in yards and other areas of customer properties to replace natural gas service lines serving the property. We contacted customers to arrange a date and time to complete this work.
We restore work areas to preconstruction conditions as weather allows. Work areas may be left temporarily restored after construction until we can complete final restoration.
We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment in your community. For your safety and the safety of our crews, remember these tips:
- Watch for construction crews and equipment.
- Do not enter construction areas.
- Obey signage and directions from crews.
- Reduce speeds while traveling.
- Observe parking restrictions.
Remain flexible as work progresses and work areas change.
